Take advantage of extended passport office hours and apply for your passport on Saturday, January 11, 2025
Many citizens apply for their passports at the Pinellas County Clerk’s office throughout the year. However, finding the time to make it into the office during regular business hours may be difficult. The Saturday passport day event offers to help families juggling hectic work and school schedules. This is a great opportunity, especially for those planning Summer travels, as now is the time to prepare those passports.
WHAT: Passport Event - Extended office hours exclusively for processing passport applications.
WHEN: Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

WHO: First-time passport applicants, citizens with expired passports (over 15 years from the issue date), and minors needing to renew their passports are encouraged to take advantage of this event.
Passport photos will also be available to the public for $15.00. U.S. military veterans and active-duty personnel can get their passport photos free of charge by visiting the Pinellas Clerk’s office locations listed above and presenting their CAC card (active duty), Military 10 card (veterans) or a veteran designation on their driver license.
The passport event will focus exclusively on processing passport applications and work on a first-come, first-served basis with regular passport fees. All passport applicants must appear in person regardless of age, bring identifying documents such as government-issued identification and birth certificates, as well as two separate forms of payment for the Clerk’s processing fee for each passport (check, cash, money order or credit card) and the Department of State passport application fee (check or money order only).

The Clerk of the Circuit Court acts as an Official Passport Application Acceptance Agent for the U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Consular Affairs. Clerk’s Recording Services offers Passport Application & Passport Photo services at any of the office locations listed below:
The Clerk’s office does not schedule appointments for Passport Applications. Expect longer wait times in the afternoon, towards the end of the day.
Clerk’s Recording Services provides a Passport Photo service at each location capable of accepting Passport Applications. The fee is $15.00 per person. U.S. Passport Books are valid for International Travel by Air, Sea or Land. U.S. Passport Cards are only valid for Travel by Land and Sea between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Not Valid for Air Travel.
Passport Applications are required to be filled out in Black Ink.
Do not sign the DS-11 Application Form until you are instructed to do so in person.

Please Note: The documents you provide as Citizenship Evidence to obtain your Passport will be mailed to the U.S. Department of State with your Passport Application. The documents will be mailed back to you in a separate mailing from the Passport. You may wish to make a copy to keep with you until your original documents are returned.
Please Note: A Social Security card, Voter Registration Card or Military Discharge papers are not acceptable proof of your Identity.

Clerk’s Recording Services provides a Passport Photo service at each location accepting Passport Applications. The fee is $15.00 per person.
A Social Security Number is required for all Passport Applications, regardless of the age of the applicant.

Two separate payments are required for Passport Applications processing
1. Application Fees: Required to be either a Check or Money Order made payable to the U.S. Department of State
2. Execution (Acceptance) Fee: A separate payment, Cash, Card, Check, etc. made payable to the Clerk of Court

After the Clerk accepts your Passport Application, the documents are submitted to a Regional Passport Agency to process.

Or call the National Passport Information Center (NPIC) at 1-877-487-2778 or 1-888-874-7793 (TDD/TTY). NPIC customer service representatives are available Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM EST; & Saturday 10 AM – 3 PM EST.
You must report a Lost or Stolen Passport immediately. Form DS-64, “Statement Regarding Lost or Stolen Passport,” can be submitted Online or by Mail.
