Notice of Increase in Passport Execution/Acceptance Fee
Effective April 2, 2018, the U.S. Department of State is increasing the passport execution/acceptance fee from $25 to $35. The fee increase only applies to U.S. passport applicants using the DS-11 form, such as first-time applicants over 16 years of age, children under 16 years of age, and applicants who re-apply after reporting their previous passport lost or stolen.
The fee increase does not apply to adults eligible to renew their passports by mail using the DS-82 form. Renewal customers can mail their application and supporting documentation directly to the Department of State.
The Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller has four locations that can process a new passport application. When applying, two separate forms of payment are required, one for the Clerk’s office and one for the Department of State. The Clerk’s office can also take your photo for a $15 fee.
Passport applications are accepted at the following Clerk locations:
- Clearwater Courthouse: 315 Court Street, Room 150, Clearwater, FL
- North County Branch Office: 29582 U.S. 19 North, Clearwater, FL
- Tyrone Branch Office: 1800 66th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL
- St. Petersburg Branch Office: 545 First Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL
